The low spatter performance comes down to two things: a tightly controlled copper coating that keeps electrical contact consistent through the contact tip (uneven coating is the usual cause of erratic arc starts and spatter), and precise wire diameter tolerance from the drawing process, which keeps wire feed smooth and arc length stable. ER70S-6's higher manganese and silicon content adds strong deoxidizing action, so it welds cleanly through light mill scale, rust, or oily surfaces without the porosity you'd get from a lower-alloy wire, while the extra silicon improves puddle fluidity for a flatter, smoother bead and less post-weld grinding.
