Weldclass PLATINUM 312 universal electrodes are the go-to weld-all rod for maintenance welders. Depositing a 29% Cr / 9% Ni stainless type filler with high strength and excellent resistance to hot cracking even under high dilution, they handle unknown steels, dissimilar joints such as mild steel to stainless, die and tool steels, and buffer layers before hardfacing. All-positional except vertical down, with a smooth arc and excellent slag control, and they run on low OCV machines. This listing is 3.2mm in a 1kg re-usable pack.
Note: Not recommended for cast iron; use PLATINUM NiFe electrodes instead.
