Weldclass standard gouging carbons are round DC carbon electrodes for air arc gouging and cutting of most steels. Air arc gouging is a fast way to remove weld metal, cracks and defects, back-gouge joints and prepare plate, and it runs from a DC welding power source with an air arc gouging torch and compressed air supply. This box contains 50 rods at 9.5mm (3/8 inch) diameter x 305mm, which require approximately 450-600A. The 9.5mm size suits heavy gouging on large power sources.
Note: Requires a DC welding power source with sufficient output, an air arc gouging torch (such as the Weldclass PROMAX K4) and compressed air.
